Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications:

  • Ability to adhere to project deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self motivated and well organized
  • Respect and adhere to all legal confidentiality agreements with Applied Chemical Technology and associated clients
  • Ability to maintain an effective, courteous, and tactful relationship with other employees and clients
  • Must be willing to travel (including international travel as needed)
  • 4-year bachelor degree in mechanical engineering (BSME)

Experience:

  • 7-10 years in the field of Mechanical Engineering
  • In taking information or internal process data and develop fabrication drawings
  • In project services such as cost estimating and control
  • Must have some experience in AutoCAD, Solid Works, Excel and Word
  • With fertilizer plants, helpful
  • In structural and concrete design
  • With ASME BPVC and AWS D1.1 Codes
  • With power transmission design, including bearing and speed reducer selection

General Description of Work:

  • This job will encompass all areas of Mechanical and Structural Design Services and Cost Estimates.

Job Duties: Will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Will report to the Director of Mechanical Design
  • Estimating equipment cost
  • Mechanical and structural design of process equipment
  • Project timelines

Physical Demands:  As necessary to carry out essential duties and responsibilities, requiring:

  • Occasional lifting or handling of equipment and tools
  • Climbing stairs and ladders

Hours:          40 hrs/week; must be able to work on short notice and work extra hours, including weekends, if needed.
