Mechanical Engineer
Qualifications:
- Ability to adhere to project deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be self motivated and well organized
- Respect and adhere to all legal confidentiality agreements with Applied Chemical Technology and associated clients
- Ability to maintain an effective, courteous, and tactful relationship with other employees and clients
- Must be willing to travel (including international travel as needed)
- 4-year bachelor degree in mechanical engineering (BSME)
Experience:
- 7-10 years in the field of Mechanical Engineering
- In taking information or internal process data and develop fabrication drawings
- In project services such as cost estimating and control
- Must have some experience in AutoCAD, Solid Works, Excel and Word
- With fertilizer plants, helpful
- In structural and concrete design
- With ASME BPVC and AWS D1.1 Codes
- With power transmission design, including bearing and speed reducer selection
General Description of Work:
- This job will encompass all areas of Mechanical and Structural Design Services and Cost Estimates.
Job Duties: Will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Will report to the Director of Mechanical Design
- Estimating equipment cost
- Mechanical and structural design of process equipment
- Project timelines
Physical Demands: As necessary to carry out essential duties and responsibilities, requiring:
- Occasional lifting or handling of equipment and tools
- Climbing stairs and ladders
Hours: 40 hrs/week; must be able to work on short notice and work extra hours, including weekends, if needed.
