Coating Drums

Rotary Coaters and Rotary Coating Systems

Coating Drum

    Coating Drum

Whether your process involves coating animal feed, proppants, plastics, small parts, tablets, fertilizer, or some other solid; an Applied Chemical Technology (ACT) coating drum is the perfect solution. Every rotary coater designed and built at ACT is backed by years of engineering and design experience in and process development and industrial equipment manufacturing. Our drum designs are proven as rugged, efficient machines for coating granular or free flowing solids with products that exhibit anti-caking, coloring, de-dusting, controlled release characteristics, and more. Our facilities also include bench scale and pilot plant scale facilities for testing to generate the data needed for your drum design.

Our rotary coating drums can be designed with zones to include other unit operations such as drying, heating, reacting, conditioning, and more. Our air atomized systems ensure good mixing and spray distribution. We also build complete coating systems including modular and skid-mounted systems.
