Pipe Reactors

Applied Chemical Technology specializes in the design and construction of chemical production and processing plants. Our service portfolio includes turnkey engineering, development, manufacturing, and installation of standard and custom process systems. We fabricate numerous types of tanks and pressure vessels for chemical process systems, including pipe reactors.

Our Pipe Reactor Capabilities

Pipe reactors are most common in the production of fertilizer and similar goods. The pipe reactor facilitates the mixture of acid and ammonia to create a chemical reaction that generates heat. Pipe reactors help operators save on energy costs by providing the necessary heat to dry out materials.

We can build vessels and pipe reactors as large as 30 feet and 12 feet in diameter, and we will manufacture all related process piping accordingly in any required volume. We work with stainless steel, carbon steel, Hastelloy®, and Inconel®, and our team can provide pipe reactors for virtually any relevant situation. Our team can design pipe reactors for new systems or customize a pipe reactor for insertion into an existing process system. Our tank, vessel, and reactor capabilities include the following options:

  • Conventional jacket
  • Dimple jacket
  • Steam coil jacket
  • Internal steam coil
  • Skid-mounted
  • Insulated
  • Agitators
  • Custom tank design
  • Polishing up to #8 finish
  • ASME Section VIII Division I Vessels (U Stamp)
  • ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code

Our Quality Process

We work closely with our customers at our facility or theirs, helping to manage every project from initial conception through final installation. Our research and development teams test equipment and processes throughout every stage of design and production. Our laboratory features a full portfolio of analytical testing and quality control capabilities, and our team tests the efficacy of custom process systems in our pilot plant.
