Custom Piping

Applied Chemical Technology specializes in the design and construction of chemical production and processing plants. Our service portfolio includes turnkey engineering, development, manufacturing, and installation of standard and custom process systems.

As part of our fabrication capabilities for process systems, we produce custom piping for tanks, reactors, and pressure vessels. Our ability to design and manufacture custom piping for chemical processing allows us to tailor the system to the specific needs of the facility.

Our Customer Piping Capabilities

Process piping refers to any piping, tubing, or other related components specific to a chemical process system and not part of a building’s broader plumbing. Given that every chemical processing plant has a different layout, process piping often requires customization to the specific facility dimensions and needs. Common components within a process chemical custom piping system may include various pipes, hoses, tubes, valves, gaskets, fittings, and more.

With design, engineering, and research and development capabilities in-house, Applied Chemical Technology collaborates closely with every customer to build customized process systems, including all required custom chemical piping and components. Our team has customized process piping systems for a variety of tanks, reactors, and pressure vessels, including:

  • Fermenters
  • Pipe reactors
  • Non-Code pressure vessels
  • ASME-Code pressure vessels
  • ASME B31.3 Process Piping
  • Mixing tanks
  • Rotary drums
  • Storage tanks

The technicians at Applied Chemical Technology can build tanks up to 30 feet and 12 feet in diameter, and we can manufacture all related piping accordingly in any required volume. We work with stainless steel, carbon steel, Hastelloy®, and Inconel®, though the best material for chemical piping will depend on the specific operating conditions and chemicals used in the application. Our experts can help you determine the most appropriate material for your custom process piping.

Our Quality Process

We work closely with our customers at our facility and theirs, helping to manage every project from initial conception through final installation. Our research and development teams test equipment and processes throughout every stage of design and production. Our laboratory features a full portfolio of analytical testing and quality control capabilities, and our team tests the efficacy of custom process systems in our pilot plant.

At Applied Chemical Technology, we adhere strictly to ASME Code, and AWS standards for pressure vessel and tank fabrication. Our turnkey approach to process systems allows us to follow strict quality assurance procedures at every step of production.
