Direct Fired Rotary Dryers

Co-Current or Counter-Current Rotary Cylinder Dryers

Applied Chemical Technology (ACT) designs and fabricates rotary dryers for a wide variety of applications requiring drying of solids both powdered and granular. Manufactured since 1981, our dryers are designed to minimize maintenance requirements. Whether you are looking for a standalone rotary dryer or require a complete, thermal processing system, ACT has the expertise, engineers, designers, and skilled craftsmen to fabricate the ideal rotary drum dryer for your processing requirement.

Our direct-fired rotary drum dryers can be built with either co-current or counter-current gas flow which can be heated with various fuels such as natural gas, propane, syngas, solid fuels, or others. Each drum is also equipped with specialized lifting flights to ensure that the cascading material makes contact with the hot stream of gases to achieve the maximum heat transfer. At our facility, we also have on-site laboratory and pilot scale testing equipment available to produce the data needed to properly size your drying equipment. We have experienced engineers in-house available to answer questions and to help you identify the best rotary dryer for your drying process. If needed, we can design and fabricate a direct-fired rotary dryer for your specific process.
